An outdoor infinity pool, sun-drenched terrace and poolside bar all overlook the ocean and are surrounded by lush tropical flora. The stylish laidback lounge area is a place where guests can hang out and listen to music from the record collection.

The Barracuda offers a range of accommodation options all boasting stunning views and providing the perfect place to relax and unwind. Located at Resende Beach, just a stroll from the centre, the hotel offers privacy and exclusivity while having full access to the local culture and all the delights Itacaré has to offer.

Year-round surfing and warm waters are the highlights of Itacaré. The shoulder months September to December and March to June are the best months to surfing in this region, with medium size waves with lots of perfection, light offshore winds and low crowds! The summer (December to March) is characterized by small waves with offshore winds in the morning. Winter, June to September, see bigger waves and constant wind swells, giving a good shape and power to the beach breaks.

The most famous spot of Itacaré is Boca da Barra, a super-long, fun righthander that peels across a sandbank at the mouth of the River Contas. Across the river are 6km of exposed, deserted beach breaks on fine sand backed by coconut trees. Many of these spots are only surfed by a few surfers because of their remote location and limited access. Surf Lessons and Surf Trips to the nearby breaks can be organised at the hotel.

The Barracuda Beach Hotel has 17 suites all with a balcony to sit and appreciate the mesmerizing views of the ocean and the rainforest. The suites are designed to create peaceful spaces that embody the slowed rhythms of life here in Itacaré and provide a sanctuary where guests can truly unwind. All suites are equipped with luxurious touches such as Nespresso machines, handmade vegan toiletries, double showers and the most comfortable beds ever!

Barracuda Villas are facing the sea and have a high construction level. In the central bungalow, you will find the social area and the kitchen. The infinity pool and the suites are connected by beautiful decks. The houses are perfect for groups of friends or families. They offer total privacy and the same friendly service as The Barracuda Hotels. Each Barracuda Villa has from 4 to 8 suites, on average 850 sqm.

The chefs, natives of Itacaré. have created a menu inspired by their Afro-Brazilian heritage and that incorporates some traditional Bahian dishes along with international dishes with a Brazilian twist. Barracuda’s gastronomy uses locally sourced seasonal quality ingredients.

The Barracuda Restaurant extends out to the sun terrace and has a spectacular panoramic view of the ocean. The head chef Fernando Luz regularly prepares a seafood BBQ and his menu always includes a “catch of the day”. The rooftop terrace of the hotel has a 360-degree view and is the ideal place for an evening “aperitivo” to watch the sunset.

Located at Resende Beach, the Barracuda Beach Bar is a charming wooden Cabana. Lounge music invites everyone to have a chilled-out experience while sipping on an amazing cocktail or sampling some fresh seafood.
