Ericeira surf can be considered the centre of the Portuguese scene with its concentration of classy breaks only 30km from Lisbon. Numerous classic reef setups, rocky headlands and small rivermouth bays shape the swells into world-class waves such as Coxos and Ribeira D’Ilhas, and gave to Ericeira the recognition as first World Surfing Reserve in Europe. With more than 10 recognized spots packed into under 10 miles of coastline, you’re never likely to be short on places to go.
You and The Sea and its team of highly qualified instructors will make sure you will catch the best waves during your holiday, either if you are a beginner or an advanced surfer. All levels are welcome and you can choose from group lessons to private lessons, family lessons or surf guiding!

The Cuisine
The Jangada Restaurant is an open space for everyone, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, an open kitchen, a fireplace for the colder winter days and a superb view of the sea. Fresh and authentic flavours and great diversity and preservation of products origin are the essence of the menu, developed by André Rebelo, executive chef of Jangada.
Jangada has a very versatile menu, always focusing on products from local suppliers. The dishes involve regional and sea-inspired flavours but include also delicious homemade crunchy pizzas cooked in a wood oven For those looking for lighter meals, the restaurant offers a wide variety of sandwiches, pokes, starters and light salads.
