Playa Santana is considered “the hub” of the property as many of the amenities and services are an easy walk from this locale. This beach is a favourite for surfing, horseback riding, and sunsets and the perfect place for those who wish to enjoy nearby amenities including the signature Sand Dollar Pool and Residence Pool. Playa Rosada is home to The Pool House, and it is perfect for the shell collector, the experienced surfer, or those taking a stroll along the rocks at low tide back to the Clubhouse.

Nicaragua’s southern Pacific coast offers some of Nicaragua’s best surf conditions. Steady offshore breezes combine with a perfectly angled coastline to create world-class surf conditions and warm weather almost 330 days out of the year. Nicaragua has two seasons: dry season typically runs from November through May with little to no precipitation and light winds. From June through November the “green season” sees tropical conditions, sunny days marked with periodic rain and bigger swells.

At Rancho Santana, there is a great variety of waves perfect for beginners and advanced surfers alike. Playa Santana is an amazing barreling and rippable beach break with many fun peaks! Playa Rosada is a pink sand beach, known for its unique left point reef break only accessible for those staying at the resort. Playa Los Perros is home to the Surf Shop, and offers lessons, board rentals and a selection of surf gear.

The Inn at Rancho Santana is a two-story, 17 room boutique oceanfront hotel located on Playa Santana. It offers a variety of unique guestrooms and suites with spacious and private ocean-view terraces. The Residences at the Inn offer three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo-style units with a kitchen and living area.

Nestled on secluded lots the luxurious Ocean-View Homes feature their own pools and offer panoramic views of Nicaragua’s Pacific coastline. Constructed for maximum scenery, these homes require a 4×4 rental vehicle. The Puerta del Mar Villas are two to three bedrooms, condo-style units beachfront on Playa Santana, offering incredible ocean views. The Garden-View Casitas are two-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin-style accommodations with kitchens and living areas, a short walk to Playa Santana.

Located on Playa Santana, La Finca y el Mar serves farm-to-table fare with a Nicaraguan twist: fresh sourced seafood, meats, and organic produce. At The Inn, el Café serves freshly brewed Nicaraguan coffee alongside sandwiches, pastries, smoothies. Boasting an open-air kitchen and terrace dining area, La Boquita serves an ever-changing lineup of wood fire oven pizzas, raspas, and small plates accompanied by a selection of locally brewed craft beers, wines, and signature cocktails. At Playa Los Perros, La Taqueria offers light, fresh beach fare in a rustic, casual setting: baja-style tacos, quesadillas, ceviches, homemade tortillas and garden-fresh salsas are all on the menu.
