The Resort
Aloita Resort is the only resort located on Simakakang Island, giving you a tropical paradise to explore all for yourself! The resort differs from the average surf resort with it’s focus on comfort, quality accommodation, and great food. This makes it a great spot to bring non-surfing partners!
The resort has it’s own private beach for you to enjoy, with 4 beach huts for guests to relax in. Take advantage of the resort’s complimentary Yoga sessions in their Yoga shala and relax in the lounge, stocked with loads of activities to enjoy after a long day of waves!

The resort is equipped with boats to take you to the world-class waves in the area! Telescopes is known as one of the most perfect waves on the planet when it’s on, with a relatively easy takeoff, the wave runs perfectly over a well-covered reef, offering up ample tube time! Other waves in the area include Icelands, Scarecrows, Ombak Tidur, and more!
The Bungalows and Villas
The resort caters to solo travelers, couples, and families with a range of accommodation options to suit everyone. All bungalows and villas have been tastefully furnished and are aesthetically beautiful. Each sea-view private bungalow is constructed using only the highest quality materials, including the same local hardwoods you’ll see throughout their Mentawai Islands resort.

The Cuisine
At Aloita, fish is sourced locally, brought by local fishermen straight to the kitchen on their way back to shore. Aside from their own fresh vegetables and herbs, like basil, mint, and different types of salads, they also grow fresh fruit within the resort, such as papayas and bananas.
All the meals served at the Resort are prepared by International guest chefs. the resort happily accommodates guests with dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten intolerance!
