The Resort
Six Senses Laamu is one of our favorite resorts in the Maldives and for good reason. This eco-friendly and sustainability-focused resort feels as though it was built with the island, rather than on it. The locally-sourced building materials sit comfortably in their tropical surroundings giving the island a luxury castaway feeling.
With a range of Overwater and Beach-based villas, Six Senses Laamu has everything accommodation options to suit everyone from romantic couples getaways to family surf trips!

Waves at Six Senses Laamu
You are spoilt for choice surf-wise at Six Senses Laamu with the resort sitting only a short boat ride from the world-class right-hander, Yin Yang’s. This mechanical wave can throw everything from rippable walls to heavy barrels on its day. This is a great intermediate to advanced wave and due to the remoteness of the resort, is rarely crowded. The outside reef at Yin Yangs offers less powerful and more user-friendly surf.
Jetty C is a great intermediate-friendly left-hander, breaking on the Southern tip of the resort island. Petrols is a really fun, peaky left, a firm favorite with SSL guests!
For those learning, in the right conditions, there is a lagoon wave perfect for beginners! Boat trips are available further afield to surf some of the Maldives’ best-kept secrets!

We love the main restaurant which is built over water, giving an unforgettable dining experience! Leaf offers an unmissable adults-only dining experience in the treetops. Zen offers gourmet Japanese and treat yourself at the resort’s Tepanyaki restaurant, Kaji.
With a range of amazing restaurants, all-day unlimited gelato/ice cream station, and a house-sized walk-in wine and cheese freezer, you will be blown away by the quality of the dining options.
