Amaru’s unique charm extends beyond its extraordinary location, a 40-acre point jutting into the Pacific Ocean, dividing two magnificent black sand beaches renowned for world-class surf. At the heart of Amaru, surrounded by lush gardens and the inviting pool, Casa Principal serves as the hub where the magic unfolds. It features multiple lounge areas, allowing guests to find solace within the comfort of their rooms. With 7 distinct rooms, Casa Principal exemplifies Amaru’s commitment to sustainability by using locally sourced materials for its furniture. Casa Blanca, the other charming house at Amaru, offers a serene ambience where the soothing sounds of silence embrace you.

In a world where uncrowded, world-class waves are becoming increasingly rare, northern Nicaragua remains one of those exceptional corners. Northern Nicaragua offers consistent waves throughout the year, catering to surfers of all levels.

Amaru clifftop surf resort is strategically situated on a rocky point, creating a natural division between two stunning beaches. The renowned barreling wave of The Boom, is just a short 5-minute walk from the southern side of the point. Amaru has also the privilege of hosting two beginner-friendly waves right below the surf resort on the north side of the point. Additionally, a few intermediate and beginner waves can be found further north, which we visit with the guests daily. For advanced surfers seeking more challenging breaks, they organize regular boat trips to explore the various points and river mouths in the area.

Amaru offers 13 rooms that are both simple and elegant, providing accommodation for up to 26 individuals in single, double, or triple occupancy. Among these, the main house consists of five double rooms and one room furnished with four beds. Daily housekeeping services are provided for all rooms.

Nestled amidst nature, the rooms provide captivating views of the ocean and the poolside, with an abundance of trees and flowers surrounding each window, creating a serene atmosphere. Each room has an ensuite, private bathroom, 100% cotton linens and bath towels, and high-speed WIFI. Air conditioning and fans are available, although the refreshing ocean breeze often proves sufficient in keeping the temperature pleasant.

Amaru strives to live harmoniously within its own garden, adhering to the principles of Permaculture. By working alongside nature, we are able to provide fresh, locally sourced, and family-style meals. Their gardens yield a significant portion of the ingredients used in each meal, while the remaining items are responsibly procured from nearby farms. Their culinary creations are inspired by the seasons and showcase the vibrant flavours of Nicaragua.

They cater to diverse dietary preferences and requirements, offering meal plans and options for vegans, vegetarians, and those with gluten-free diets. Given the active nature of many of their guests, we ensure generous portion sizes and provide a varied and nutritious selection of food. Additionally, we take pride in our handmade Clay Adobe Oven, where we craft delicious wood-fired pizzas for your enjoyment.
